Spring Clean Your Body.

Now that winter is at an end (no game of thrones reference included), it is time to prepare for a beautiful, warm summer. What better way to refresh yourself, than with a spring cleaning of your body. Listed below are some tips and tricks to have you feeling on top of the world.

Tip # 1

Juicing

Juicing is a terrific way for your body to remove any toxins and unwanted excess. Not only that, but you will feel and look amazing.

Combining loads of vegetables and fruits, it is a great way to get in all of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that your body needs.

The link below gives some great advice, along with a few quick and simple juice recipes.
Healthy Blender

You can either fully immerse yourself into 100% juicing and see what this does to your body. Or ease into it; add a juice or two a day along with a healthy diet.

Tip # 2

If it’s green, then it’s good.

Along with attempting a bit of a juice cleanse, or if juicing sounds a bit daunting then simply start adding more leafy green vegetables to your diet. According to the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, Green vegetables “have pretty much every nutrient our bodies need, with the exception of protein and fat” .

Of all of the different types of vegetables, green leafy appear to be most related to protection against cognitive decline. That means that they are great for your body and especially good for your brain. Adding as many green vegetables to your plate can improve your mental state dramatically.

Bring a plastic box of green veggies and eat them instead of having a coffee. For example, you could make a small Kale or spinach salad. If you don’t love the taste, try putting a few spinach leaves into your smoothies.

Tip # 3

Saunas and Steam Room

There are loads of health benefits to these hot rooms. Steam rooms and saunas allow the body’s heart rate to increase and allow for improved circulation. The sweat that your body produces helps to get rid of those long lost toxins.

The heat from a sauna soothes your nerve endings and warms and relaxes your muscles, in turn relieving the tension from your body and minimizing joint pain. The sauna helps to calm and relax the body, and can even alleviate stress levels.

The steam room helps to open up airways which improves your breathing and soothes congestion. This is perfect if you picked up that awful winter flu. It can also increase metabolism and aid with weight loss. As you sweat your body is removing toxins and this cleanses the body.
