COVID-19

Here's where you'll find the latest information around COVID-19 and what it means for us.

We are so excited to be able to open, and provide health and fitness to the community. In order to operate, there are some things that we have had to do, and a few rules you will need to follow too.

Red and Orange Light COVID responses

Under the governments Red and Orange Light COVID responses, Fitness Centres are only able to operate if they enforce that customers provide a valid vaccination status. That means you will need to show your vaccination pass on entry, in order to get access to use the facility. You can find more information on the My Vaccine Pass here.

Red Light Hours:

Monday to Thursday 5.30am – 9.00pm
Friday 5.30am – 8.00pm
Saturday, Sunday and
Public Holidays – 7.00am – 6.00pm

Validate your status

Members and Concession pass users can validate their status in our system by providing the status to staff or by emailing a screenshot to us – fitin@theolympic.co.nz. This means that you would not have to provide proof on each entry.

Saunas and Steam Rooms are closed

Saunas and Steam Rooms are unable to operate under Red Light, so unfortunately our Sauna and Steam Room will remain closed until a change in status.

Social distancing

There is a 1m social distancing enforcement. Keep your distance from other customers and staff in the facility.

Reduce changing room use

Try to not use the changing rooms, or keep your time in this area to a minimum. These are potential locations of concern, and we would appreciate your assistance in keeping these as clear as possible.

Spectators may potentially be turned away

Spectators will potentially be turned away, or charged a $3 fee. This is because we only have limited capacity, paying patrons will get priority.

Group Fitness is back!

Group Fitness will be back!!! Please click here for a timetable, and to book in advance.
Note: THE ARENA is unable to operate at Red Light.

The Olympic supports the vaccination of our wider community

The Olympic supports the vaccination of our wider community and ensuring the safety of our friends and whanau. All of our staff are vaccinated, along with any contractors and associated businesses who are in the facility.
