The Olympic Challenge 2019

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting an Olympic challenge for members to complete. There will be two set categories which will need to be completed…

  • Participate in 10/12 activities and classes. (We will give you a huge range of options to choose from).
  • 4 weekly CHALLENGES, which will give you a chance to showcase your strength, fitness, and endurance. (There will be two different options each week, and you are more than welcome to compete in both).

During the Olympic Challenge, we will be giving out prizes and maintaining a leaderboard for each of the categories. But remember, the effort is in the participation, and we challenge you to give it your best shot, and go out and try new exercises.

There will be more information coming soon, and we are super excited to share this with you.

Medal for NZ at the World Swimming Championships!

Lewis Clareburt became the first male since Danyon Loader to win a medal at the World Swimming Championships, by collecting a convincing bronze in the 400 IM (individual medley). It was an amazing effort by the young man from Wellington, and for those of you who don’t know, the 400 IM involves 100m of Butterfly, Backstroke, Breastroke, and Freestyle. A tough, tough event.

Hopefully, it can inspire a few of you to push a bit harder in the pool, or perhaps to take a leap and add swimming to your fitness routine.

Last days of the Winter Warmer….

There are only a few weeks left of our Winter Warmer trial….

If you have friends or colleagues that are interested in trying The Olympic, this is a great chance for them to have 11 days of full access at an introductory price. Get in quick.

Ok, that is it from us….

There has been a nice increase in turnout at SPIN and we hope you are enjoying the new layout. Make sure to give the other classes a try, and get involved with group fitness.

Have a great week.
